Terms of Service

These terms apply to your Lands of Aurelion account, your purchase of the game and your use of the online game. By creating an account you agree to them.

1. Who we are

Lands of Aurelion is provided by GreenLeaf Studios, a sole proprietorship owned by J. Rongen, registered in the Netherlands, KvK [KvK number], business address [business address], email groengras@greenleafstudios.nl.

2. Your account

• An account is personal. You may not share, sell or transfer it.
• Keep your password secret. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
• If you are under 16, you need permission from a parent or guardian.

3. Buying the game

The game costs a one-time €14,99 including VAT, paid through Mollie. After payment you get a personal, non-transferable licence to download and play the game on your devices with your account. You do not buy the game itself, its code or its content.

Right of withdrawal. The game is digital content that you can download immediately. Before you buy, we ask you to agree to immediate delivery and to confirm that you thereby lose your 14-day right of withdrawal (Article 16(m) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU; Article 6:230p(g) of the Dutch Civil Code). Without that agreement, the right of withdrawal applies as normal.

Problems. If the game does not work on your computer and we cannot fix it, contact us and we will refund your purchase.

4. Playing fair

You may not:

• cheat, use bots, macros, hacks or modified game files;
• abuse bugs or exploits, or keep them to yourself: please report them;
• harass, threaten or discriminate against other players, or spam in chat;
• sell or trade game items, characters or accounts for real money.

If you break these rules, we may warn you, temporarily suspend you or permanently ban your account. For a permanent ban there is no refund. We tell you the reason and you can respond by email.

5. An online game in development

Lands of Aurelion is an online game that is still being developed. We regularly add, change and balance content. Characters, items and progress are stored on our servers; we do our best to keep them safe, but we may need to reset or adjust them, for example after a bug or before the official release. We will announce planned maintenance on the Updates page.

If we ever stop the online game for good within 2 years of your purchase, we will refund the purchase price on request.

6. Intellectual property

The game, its world, art, music, code and texts belong to GreenLeaf Studios. Screenshots and videos of your own gameplay may be shared, including on YouTube and Twitch.

7. Liability

We are not liable for indirect damage or for loss of in-game items or progress. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the game. This does not apply in cases of intent or gross negligence, and does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

8. Complaints and governing law

Complaints can be sent to groengras@greenleafstudios.nl; we respond within 14 days. These terms are governed by Dutch law. If you live in another country, you keep the protection of the consumer law of your country.

9. Changes

We may change these terms. Important changes are announced on the Updates page in advance. If you keep playing afterwards, the new terms apply.
